Resource Center
The Cité internationale de la tapisserie preserves numerous documentary resources and archival collections available to all audiences: students, researchers, professionals, artists, families, and individuals.

Resource Center - Bibliothèque des Arts André Chandernagor
On September 19, 2021, on the occasion of André Chandernagor's 100th birthday, former Minister and elevated to the rank of Grand Cross of the Légion d'Honneur, the resource center became the "Centre de ressources - Bibliothèque des Arts André Chandernagor" in tribute to the founder of the Jean Lurçat Cultural and Artistic Center and the former Départemental Tapestry Museum, which opened in 1982. The CRBAC resulted from the merger of the documentary collections of the former Départemental Tapestry Museum's documentation center and the Library of the National School of Decorative Arts (ENAD) of Aubusson, founded in 1884. The inclusion of Aubusson tapestry on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list in 2009 and the Scientific and Cultural Project (PSC) of the Cité internationale de la tapisserie guide the content of its documentary collections.
Online Research
The Cité's website offers a section that allows you to search the Resource Center's database, in partnership with the Departmental Library of Creuse. You will find a wide selection of works available for consultation on-site. You can also perform a keyword search directly on the Cité's website.

Missions
The study of collections is at the heart of the missions of the Museums of France. Our documentation service must:
- Preserve and promote documentary resources,
- Study and document the museum's collections,
- Acquire resources related to the museum's Scientific and Cultural Project (SCP),
- Support research in textile art and the history of local creation,
- Welcome the public and provide documents under specific conditions.

Opening hours and access
The CRBAC is located on the 2nd floor of the Cité de la Tapisserie and is accessible by elevator. The space is compliant with accessibility standards for people with reduced mobility.
Conditions for consultation and borrowing
The consultation of documents on-site is open to all visitors and is possible after registration at the CRBAC reception desk. Registration is free, individual, and valid for one year. A library card is issued after each registration. The library card provides priority access to the Cité internationale de la tapisserie after presenting the card to the reception staff.
