Training centre
The Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region and the International Tapestry Centre in Aubusson, in collaboration with the GRETA of Limousin, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of Creuse, have established a comprehensive professional tapestry weaver training programme. This training had not been offered in Aubusson since 1998.

The Cité internationale de la tapisserie in Aubusson has, for over a decade, been pursuing a creation-driven policy that highlights this craftsmanship, which is recognised as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, while simultaneously enriching the museum’s Contemporary Collection Fund.
