Fashion designer Maroussia Rebecq (also known by the brand name Andrea Crews) proposes a streetwear style that is youthful, colorful, often unisex, and plays with material combinations, prints, and the subversion of dress codes. She has created various types of fanny packs. It is with this simple object that she imagines a series depicted on a wall tapestry, like a large pattern presenting bags ready to be cut and sewn.

The motifs are inspired by stylized flowers from Aubusson tapestries by the artist Dom Robert. They have been reworked in black and white, with color reserved for the writing of the flower names. The background of the tapestry is treated with visible warp threads, suggesting to the viewer that they could be crudely cut, leaving holes in the places where the bags are depicted. This work transposes the fanny pack, a popular and inexpensive object, into the luxurious and costly realm of Aubusson tapestry craftsmanship, creating a dichotomy between two worlds while bringing them together in a conceptual and aesthetic approach.
